Review L1 part 2 vocab (also review part 1 vocab, write at least once). Review textbook pg 29-34. Finish character practice sheet. Finish Blue pattern sheet.  Quiz next Tuesday (recognition & writing)

Effective ways to learn the vocabulary: hand-made flashcards, copying and testing yourself periodically, Quizlet (links on my blog under "IC resources", angrybird games), last but not least: see me for extra help.

Mon, 9/24
Review Lesson 1 part 2 vocabulary.  Quiz yourself (look at the English and see if you can write the pinyin with correct tones.  This is a very important practice.  Do not assume you know how to write the pinyin simply because you can say it.)
Recite Lesson 1 part 2 dialogue (textbook pg 28) several times.  Do you understand the dialogue?  (there is English translation of the dialogue on page 40 if you need it)
Continue practice writing Lesson 1 part 1 characters.
There will be a quiz (all the vocab learned so far) on Thursday (P7, Friday for P5).  See me if you need help.

Tue, 9/25
We learned 4 more words today: 先生 (Mr.),小姐 (Miss)  You may go to "animated Chinese" to learn the stroke order
Continue practice writing Lesson 1 part 1 characters.  (the five words you've already learned) be sure to test yourself periodically)
Review lesson 1 part 2 dialogue (textbook pg 28, in pinyin).  Be sure to read it several times and sight translate it.
There will be a quiz (all the vocab learned so far) on Thursday (P7, Friday for P5).  You will need to know the vocab in Lesson 1 (part 1 and part 2, in pinyin), know how to write the 9 characters (你,好,我,姓,叫,先生,小姐)

Practice and memorize Lesson 1 part 2 vocabulary (pinyin only)

                Choose 10 days from the 2012 calendar and write 10 dates from the calendar (you may
                choose holidays or family birthdates.  Identify them in English first.  For example:
