Speaking Assignments - Practice Makes Perfect
- Be sure you select the correct recording assignment for your class.
- There are usually three different kinds of speaking assignments: Audio Dropboxes, Conversations, and Voice Thread. (for Audio Dropboxes and Conversations, you do not need to set up an account. When you record on Audio Dropboxes and Conversations, be sure to write down your full name and your class level. For Voice Thread, you will need to login to your own account in order to leave comment/recording.)
- You may (and should) practice/record several times before you send in your final version. Be sure you have good pronunciation and tones. Please only send one recording.
*In the event that the link does not work, you may use any recording program and upload your recording (in MP3 format) to me (e-mail it to my school address). A good recording program to use is "audacity" - Download "Audacity" It is easy to use and free. At the end of the download, if the system doesn't prompt you to download "lame", you will also need to download it. After you've done your recording in Audacity, you will need to "export it to MP3 format" so your file will be saved in MP3. E-mail me your MP3 file. Another easy to use online recording device is Vocaroo (link) You should get yourself familiarized with the website, make the recording, then either e-mail me (the site has a e-mail function after you click "save", or send me the http link to me) |
