Summer Academic Program for High School Students
WHAT: An intensive four-week non-residential program that will allow beginning and intermediate students of Chinese to develop both speaking and writing abilities as well as the understanding of Chinese culture. The program will include classroom instruction as well as cultural field trips.
WHO: Rising 7th - 12th grade students who are highly motivated and enthusiastic about learning Mandarin Chinese in an intensive program. This is a non-residential program for students who reside in the Glastonbury and Wallingford areas.
WHERE: Students will have the option of applying to participate in the Glastonbury Public Schools program for rising 7th - 12th graders (Glastonbury, CT) or the Choate Rosemary Hall program for rising 9th - 12th graders (Wallingford, CT).
WHEN: July 2-27, 2012, 9 am - 3 pm, Monday through Friday (no classes July 4)
Students accepted into the program receive a partial scholarship. There is a $150 tuition fee due upon acceptance into the program. No transportation is provided.
